Editorial policy
Independence
Venue listings and rankings are not for sale. No venue has paid to appear higher in a list or to receive a more favourable write-up. Any sponsored content will be labelled "Sponsored" and excluded from rankings and recommendations.
How listings are researched
- Research. We compile public information from official websites, social media, map listings, booking platforms and third-party reviews.
- Checking. We cross-check addresses, hours, phone numbers and prices against at least one other source, or with the venue directly. The "Information checked" date on each page records this.
- Review. Scores are added only after an in-person visit, covering sound, rooms, song library, food, service and value.
Promotions
Promotions are published as the venue advertises them, with the date we saw them. Venues set their own terms, so we tell readers to confirm the offer before booking.
Writing style
We describe what a venue offers in plain terms and avoid marketing language. Where information comes from a single source, the page says so.
Corrections
If you spot an error, email [email protected] or use the "Report outdated information" link on any page. We aim to review corrections within 48 hours.
Lounge review policy
For KTV lounges we cover rooms, sound, song library, food and drink packages, pricing, cleanliness, service and safety. We do not publish information about hostesses, GROs or companion services of any kind.
