Family karaoke

Private rooms rented by the session, priced per person or per room. All ages are welcome, soft drinks are often included, and most outlets sit inside shopping malls with long opening hours.

How much does KTV cost in Malaysia?

Family karaoke is usually charged per person per session, commonly around RM15–RM40 per head depending on the time slot and day. KTV lounges work on a minimum spend per room, which typically starts around RM1,000 for a small room and rises for VIP rooms. Most venues add a 10% service charge and SST on top. What is the difference between family karaoke and a KTV lounge?

Which KTV venues in Malaysia are open late?

Many KTV lounges in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor Bahru open in the afternoon or evening and close between 2am and 4am, and some run late-night promotions until 6am. Can children go to KTV in Malaysia?

Yes, at family karaoke venues such as Loud Speaker, Red Box and Neway, which admit all ages. KTV lounges are for adults aged 18 and above, and alcohol is not served to anyone under 21.

Walk-ins usually work for family karaoke on weekday afternoons, but evenings, weekends and public holidays fill up. KTV lounges should be booked ahead by phone or WhatsApp, especially for larger rooms.
